Instructed by Paul KeppleFor my senior thesis I wanted to explore the role design has outside of capitalism by critiquing
how signage and storefront design has been weaponized to gentrify urban communities.
My point of reference was the neighborhood I am from in the Kensignton & Allegheny section of Philadelphia. With research, I archived what was before.Producing a zine that was all self photographed, designed and authored.
The idea of my zine was also to contextualize the grit of the city and reference signage through form and aesthtic choices that makes the audience interact with work.
